Orange you loving this sweet little family from Bakersfield? Obviously they have a thing for oranges, their family has been growing them for a couple generations now. They let me trek through their beautiful orchards with them for our photoshoot. Yum, I think I will go get a fresh glass of orange juice now….enjoy!

I am thinking about doing a Mommy & Me Photography workshop for moms this summer.
Would you be up for it?
I have gotten so many questions/e-mails from friends and mom’s asking how to learn how to use their SLR camera so they can better document their childrens first years with photography.
Not sure if I want to do it yet, I need your feedback, so please comment on the following:
1. What do you want to know about how to better use your camera?
2. How long should the workshop be? 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, and afternoon?
3. Besides learning how to use the camera, what other photography related topics to you want to know about (ie: prints, workflow, photo storage, etc.)?
4. What would your budget be to attain this photography knowledge?
5. What would you hope to gain from this experience?
I would want you all to walk away from the workshop happy and a little bit more knowledgeable about how to use your camera. So, please bring all your questions my way, so I can structure this class accordingly.
I definitely would want to work with live models and simply show all you fabulous moms out there how to “learn by doing.”
Please make a note, this will simply be a basic photography workshop, not advanced. If you are interested in pursuing photography as a profession, you can inquire with me about my one on one advanced photography workshops I have recently began offering.

Here is sweet baby Tatum, newborn daughter to Kyle & Katrin Johnson. Katrin and I went to highschool together! It is so special that we are now in this phase of life of growing our families, and I feel so blessed to get to celebrate it with her. Katrin is such a wonderful new mommy, it comes naturally. Here is a very exciting engagement session I was able to wrap up this week. Tara and Kirk are getting married this fall! Their wedding is going to be spectacular, the bride has amazing taste and is truly one of the sweetest, most genuine girls I know. The groom is quite a catch as well, handsome and sweet! (and my cousin) So excited for this fall, their wedding is definitely one I am looking forward to. enjoy!

I am selling my backup camera, the Canon 5D. This is a spectacular camera that I learned and loved photography on. It is a 12 megapixel, SLR camera. Great for the amateur who wants to learn a bit more. It is retailing used for $1200, I am willing to sell it for $975.
It comes with battery charger and battery.

I went out on a limb this year and entered a few photos into the WPPI 16×20 print competition, and I was pretty surprised when I went to the winners gallery at the show and saw some of my photo entries in there! They guys standing next to me thought I was pretty odd when I got all excited about it, standing there all by myself.
Anyways, thanks to my charming friends for helping me out: courtney and kevin (wedding this weekend!!!) and rianna atherton for being such amazing models, I couldn’t have done it with out your award winning faces!
